The principle that history repeats itself is the confidence that we can embark on D23 Discovering Hidden Meaning in Current Events, as an extension from D22 that pointed out lesson in the destruction of Sodom and the legacy of Lot.
God speaks in his word, and fulfills this word in the world. We need now to seek to understand the movements of God's providence. ..God's people are not left to depend on man's wisdom. With prophetic guideposts God has marked out the way he wishes them to take. These great waymarks show us that the path of obedience is the only path we can follow with certainty. …{RH, February 6, 1900 par. 11}
23.1 Hidden Meaning in Current Events
This invitation is based on the compilation of a few of the currents events in August 2019. It is the sharing of startling information pointing to the destruction of the world as a replication to the visitation of the two angels to Sodom to execute its destruction and the deliverance of Lot’s family. The stages in the setting up of Sunday law enforcement are revealed in currents events confirming that we are the final generation* that will see the second coming of Jesus Christ. Just prior to His coming to deliver the righteous who keep God’s law, the other group, the wicked and disobedient, by accepting the mark of the beast (keeping Sunday law) will be destroyed in the seven last plagues that will be initiated after the Sunday law enforcement. Lot was unprepared and his warning to his two son-in–law was laughed and ridiculed. This discovery journey is to prime you to get ready and remain ready and settled into the truth so that you will be able to call others to be ready as well for the day of judgment .
(Note: The final generation*, Gen Z*: - Based on the 2018 report from Pew Research Center. Millennials are defined as those born from 1981-1996 (open to date recalibration), choosing these dates for "key political, economic and social factors", including September 11th terrorist attacks. This range makes Millennials 5-20 years old at the time of the attacks so "old enough to comprehend the historical significance". Gen Z*(Generation Z) are "Post-Millennials," those born from 1997 onward. The story of Lot is about his family divine rescue from the execution of God’s wrath (judgment) on Sodom, a big prosperous city steeped into sodomy even by the children (- See D22) One of Satan’s fear in these last days is that children and youth will be used by God in the work of aggressive evangelism as the last generation that will vindicate that God’s law can be obeyed and prove that Satan is the father of lies.

(We are living in this crisis hour where school children are taught to choose their gender identity. Drag queen story hour is to make kids comfortable and have a safe space to explore where they might feel different ( a very small minority) and inculcate tolerance in the majority from young. This is contrary to God’s way as stated in Deuteronomy 6:6-9. God through His watchmen wants us to be prepared to meet this coming crisis.
It is Satan’s plan to destroy everyone but specifically children ( like at the brith of Christ in Bethlehem) and youth ( they constitute the Gen Z, the last generation). His objective is working behind this Drag queen story hour which is hosted in Community Libraries nationally. One objective is to attack and destroy the Bible . Another is to upend God’s way of living as it relates to marriage. 1a. August 14, 2019—-Illinois Governor Signs Law to Ensure LGBT History Is Taught in All Public Schools…The governor of Illinois, J.B. Pritzker, has signed a bill that mandates the teaching of LGBTQ history in all public schools. The law, officially titled “House Bill 246” was introduced by Rep. Anna Moeller in a bid to make the history curriculum more inclusive. The bill states that, “In public schools only, the teaching of history shall include a study of the roles and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in the history of this country and this State.” The new legislative measure also includes a section which grants the state education department the power to enforce new rules and guidelines that will “ensure the religious neutrality of the textbook block grant program.” The textbook block grant is a program that provides “annual funding for the direct purchase of selected secular textbooks that have been preapproved and designated by the State Board of Education.” In a statement of commitment to the LGBTQ community, Governor Pritzker declared that “the LGBTQ community won't just have a seat at the table, they will be equal partners in the fight to make equality a lived reality for all.” https://www.christianheadlines.com/contributors/will-maule/illinois-governor-signs-law-to-ensure-lgbt-history-is-taught-in-all-public-schools.html. 1b. August 7, 2019—Superintendent defends back-to-school worship service after atheist group complains. An Alabama school superintendent defended a local high school that hosted a worship rally on Sunday after a complaint was filed by one of the nation's leading secularist legal groups…Considering the Establishment Clause prohibits state endorsement of religion, a concerned DeKalb County parent voiced concern to FFRF [Freedom From Religion Foundation] and claimed that the event was being organized by school officials…FFRF [Freedom From Religion Foundation] legal fellow Christopher Line argued in the letter, "Organizing and promoting religious worship events unconstitutionally entangles school personnel with an exclusively religious — often exclusively Christian — message. Public school teachers and administrators may not lead, direct or ask students to engage in prayer or otherwise endorse religion." Among a number of cases, Line's letter cites the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in the 1962 case of Engel v. (In the Homiletic Review for December, 1887, Philip Schaff, D. D., LL. D., has an article on "The Connecting Links Between Church and State," and says that there are three of these links, namely, Marriage, Sunday, and the Public School. That is, these are the three links which form the union of Church and State in the United States. {April 1888 ATJ, AMS 27.1})
1c. The Christian Union of April 24, set forth a short catechism on the subject of religion and the public schools, with the purpose of getting the reader committed to the sanction of religious instruction by the State…For the State therefore, to undertake to make known righteousness to the children in school, or to anybody anywhere else, it would necessarily have to take charge of the gospel of Christ, and expound that as such to the people. This it is seen again would at once turn the State into a Church, and Church and State would be identical. {May 22, 1890 ATJ, AMS 161.1 and 161.4} Thus it is manifest that it is only by faith in Christ that righteousness can be obtained. Therefore for the State to inculcate righteousness, it would necessarily have to inculcate [to instill, to teach] faith in Jesus Christ. This again would be but to turn the State into a Church. But if the State is to do this, what shall the Church do? If the State becomes the Church, then where shall the Church itself appear? {May 22, 1890 ATJ, AMS 162.2}
More than this, when the gospel is preached to men and they receive it, there is another step to be taken. Christ said "Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”…In order to manifest acceptable faith in him, it is essential that that person should be baptized, and thus further it is seen that, in order to inculcate righteousness, the State must become the Church, but such a thing as that is impossible; the State cannot become the Church, and as certain as it is that the State cannot become the Church, so certain it is that the State can never inculcate righteousness. {May 22, 1890 ATJ, AMS 162.3}

It is equally inappropriate and unconstitutional for coaches to have participated, even if students or the [Fellowship of Christian Athletes] organized the baptism,” wrote Line. “It is well settled that public schools may not advance or promote religion. 2.The Urgent Need to Save the Children
2a (Reuters Health) - Transgender adolescents are far more likely to attempt suicide than teens whose identity matches what it says on their birth certificates, and trans male youth are especially at risk, a U.S. study suggests. 2b. Preparing Generation Z for a Challenging World

Millennials and Gen Z have been shaped by different experiences and ideas. Most Millennials can remember a time when the new sexual orthodoxy wasn’t orthodox, and people who opposed—or at least were ambivalent about it—weren’t called “bigots.”
Even more important—and distressing—is that members of “Generation Z” are leaving the church at an unprecedentedly high rate. Now, I confess that I feel a bit like the boy who cried “wolf” even saying that, given the overblown and often unsupported claims of the rates of young people from previous generations leaving the faith. It’s always been “bad”—not as bad as you’ve heard—but let me be clear: it’s worse for Gen Z.
All of this to say, we’ve got some serious thinking to do about how we can transmit the truths of the Gospel and the worldview that flows from it to Generation Z. To start with: What has worked for previous generations may not work for them. (This is not true because their forefathers and fathers were professed Christian without an intimate knowledge of the Bible. Explanation follows)
2c Satan’s Easy Prey-Children & Youth

As mentioned earlier, It is Satan’s plan to destroy everyone but specifically the children and youth of the last generation that God has told Satan that would lovingly keep God’s law to refute Satan’s challenge that it is impossible to obey God’s law. This is God’s Plan to show to the whole universe His righteous way in executing judgment in the extermination of Satan (Sin and all his evil agents) after having given him time to manifest the evil and wicked works of sin whose end is the eternal death (second death at the third coming of Christ after the thousand years.)
This is the old way that God has provided in protecting and nurturing the children. This responsibility has been entrusted to the father who is the priest of the family. If either of the parents have strayed away from the knowledge and the love of God, then it is most likely that the children will be likewise and become easy prey for Satan.
“And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service? “ That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD'S passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped. - Exo 12:26,27.
(Passover is the only feast that was designed to make the children to ask questions so that they could be taught the gospel about how God because of Jesus blood shed on the Calvary for our sins, passed over any believer in Christ.( Exo 12:24-27; Deu 4:9; 6:7; 11:19).
This passage on the Passover {Exo 12:1-28) is meant especially for the children to know. Beginning of religious year is the first month with the celebration of Passover requiring a four-day preparation from the 10h day of the first month ( in order to know the unblemished lamb) to be slaughtered on the 14th day and applying the lamb’s blood on the door post so that the angel of death will Passover over the house marked with the blood. It commemorated the coming out following the Passover {Exo 12:1-28). It was the deliverance of the Israelites from slavery to Pharaoh, who did not and refused to know God, who made it impossible for them to worship the feast system that God had set up including and especially the Passover. Joshua kept it in Gilgal (Jos 5:10) after the exodus. After him and throughout the era of the judges (starting 1380 BC) no mention was made until King Hezekiah (who rein from 716 BC) (2 Chr 30:15). Periodically through the history of Israel there were kings who made it impossible to follow the worship feast system that God had set up including and especially the Passover.

The concern on the welfare and safety of the children is expressed in Deu 4:9; 6:7; 11:19. It is our job as parents to teach the children above all else we need to be protecting our children. In the case of King Ahaz (the father of Kinh Hezekiah), he “made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel.”- 2Ki 16:3 “ And Ahaz gathered together the vessels of the house of God, and cut in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and shut up the doors of the house of the LORD, and he made him altars in every corner of Jerusalem.”- 2Ch 28:24 . Satan doesn’t want the children to learn. Are we closing the door to our children?
Children are going to public school learning evolution over creation, make fun and ridicule the Bible, God and your Christian belief. The current focus of the school in US is on LGBT right and freedom enabling and encouraging children questioning whether they are boy or girl and make the decision to change. Research shows that when they are left alone and kept straight that it soon leaves them as they grow older. Our children are in trouble. They are also plugged in to their I-phone, video games absorbing in violence hours on end. Then through Hollywood, movies and multimedia we have legalized medical marijuana, sex, drugs violence, and homosexuals. The children are being mesmerized to the evilness and the real impact that is having on them with the young people saying the gay lifestyle is an alternative. They have no knowledge of the word of God to make a good judgment call. We may be guilty of cooperating ignorantly with the jeopardy of our children. We need to use the church to counteract these effects from the incredible amount of influence they are receiving when they are in schools and when they are away from the parents and the church. Provide an alternative to what their friends are doing while their Frontal Lobe are still developing at 25. (Pro 31:8; Job 29:15)
2d Sister White Counsel to Parents
Parents, your sons and daughters are not properly guarded. They should never be permitted to go and come when they please, without your knowledge and consent. The unbounded freedom granted to children at this age has proved the ruin of thousands. How many are allowed to be in the streets at night, and parents are content to be ignorant of the associates of their children. Too often companions are chosen whose influence tends only to demoralize. {AH 466.4}
Under the cover of darkness boys collect in groups to learn their first lessons in card playing, gambling, smoking, and wine or beer sipping. The sons of religious parents venture into the saloons for an oyster supper or some similar indulgence, and thus place themselves in the way of temptation. The very atmosphere of these resorts is redolent with blasphemy and pollution. No one can long remain in it without becoming corrupted. It is by such associations that promising youth are becoming inebriates and criminals. The very beginnings of the evil should be guarded against. Parents, unless you know that their surroundings are unexceptionable, do not permit your children to go into the streets after nightfall to engage in outdoor sports or to meet other boys for amusement. If this rule be rigidly enforced, obedience to it will become habitual, and the desire to transgress will soon cease. {AH 467.1}
Parents should remember that association with those of lax morals and coarseness of character will have a detrimental influence upon the youth. If they fail to choose proper society for their children, if they allow them to associate with youth of questionable morals, they place them, or permit them to place themselves, in a school where lessons of depravity are taught and practiced. They may feel that their children are strong enough to withstand temptation, but how can they be sure of this? It is far easier to yield to evil influences than to resist them. Ere they are aware of it, their children may become imbued with the spirit of their associates and may be degraded or ruined. {AH 467.2}
The dangers of the young are greatly increased as they are thrown into the society of a large number of their own age, of varied character and habits of life. (Particularly, when you are living in the city (like Lot). Under these circumstances many parents are inclined to relax rather than redouble their own efforts to guard and control their children. {AH 468.1}
Prayerfully, unitedly, the father and the mother should bear the grave responsibility of guiding their children aright. Whatever else they neglect, they should never leave their children free to wander in paths of sin. Many parents allow children to go and do as they please, amusing themselves and choosing evil associates. In the judgment such parents will learn that their children have lost heaven because they have not been kept under home restraint. {AH 468.2}
2e Sister White Counsel to the Youth
(This Bible truth is what Greta Thunberg and her supporters need to know to bring them out of the clutches of Satan's deceptions.)
“I was referred to many passages of Scripture that clearly show the young the will of God concerning them. These plain teachings they must meet in the judgment. Yet there is not one young man or young woman in twenty professing the present truth who heeds these Bible teachings. The youth do not read the word of God enough to know its claims upon them; and yet these truths will judge them in the great day of God, when young and old will be rewarded according to the deeds done in the body.” {1T 498.1}
The purified new earth will be no place for the rebellious, the disobedient, the ungrateful, son or daughter. Unless such learn obedience and submission here, they will never learn it; the peace of the ransomed will not be marred by disobedient, unruly, unsubmissive children. No commandment breaker can inherit the kingdom of heaven. Will all the youth please read the fifth commandment of the law spoken by Jehovah from Sinai and engraven with His own finger upon tables of stone? "Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee." {1T 497.2}
Young Sabbathkeepers (SDA youth) are given to pleasure seeking. I saw that there is not one in twenty who knows what experimental religion is. They are constantly grasping after something to satisfy their desire for change, for amusement; and unless they are undeceived and their sensibilities aroused so that they can say from the heart, "I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord," they are not worthy of Him and will come short of everlasting life. The young, generally, are in a terrible deception, and yet they profess godliness. Their unconsecrated lives are a reproach to the Christian name; their example is a snare to others. They hinder the sinner, for in nearly every respect they are no better than unbelievers. They have the word of God, but its warnings, admonitions, reproofs, and corrections are unheeded, as are also the encouragements and promises to the obedient and faithful. God's promises are all on condition of humble obedience. One pattern only is given to the young, but how do their lives compare with the life of Christ? I feel alarmed as I witness everywhere the frivolity of young men and young women who profess to believe the truth. God does not seem to be in their thoughts. Their minds are filled with nonsense. Their conversation is only empty, vain talk. They have a keen ear for music, and Satan knows what organs to excite to animate, engross, and charm the mind so that Christ is not desired. The spiritual longings of the soul for divine knowledge, for a growth in grace, are wanting. {1T 496.1} (Your eternal destiny is now being shaped by your decision and action now before it is too late. Remember it is the 144,000 that will vindication and refute Satan false charges that God’s law cannot be obey.)

We begin now a series of catechesis on three facets of family life: celebration, work and prayer. Let us turn first to celebrations which, as we see from the Story of Creation, are the invention of God, who on the seventh day rested from his work. It is God himself who teaches us the importance of dedicating time to contemplating and enjoying the fruits of our labours, not only in our employment or profession, but through every action by which we as men and women cooperate in God’s creative work, even in times of difficulty. In the workplace too, we celebrate – a birthday, a marriage, a new baby, a farewell or a welcome. True moments of celebration make us pause from our work, because they remind us that we are made in the image and likeness of God, who is not a slave to work, but the Lord of work! And so we must never be slaves to work but rather its master! Yet we know that millions of men and women, even children, are slaves to work. The obsession with economic profit and technical efficiency puts the human rhythms of life at risk. Moments of rest, especially on Sunday, are sacred because in them we find God. The Sunday Eucharist brings to our celebrations every grace of Jesus Christ: his presence, his love and his sacrifice; his forming us into a community, and his way of being with us. Everything is transfigured by his grace: work, family, the joys and trials of each day, even our sufferings and death. May we always recognize the family as the privileged place to understand, guide and sustain the gifts which arise from our celebrations, especially the Sunday Eucharist. (The Pope is pushing the family He is advocating the Sunday rest sacredness. The Children need to be protected from these attacks on the truth in God’s word. This is the true colour of the Papacy. We are in a desperate situation. Let us ponder upon these thoughts and pray for them asking the lord to show us how we may be used in enabling The Gen Z to vindicate that God’s law can be obeyed and then Satan wil be put away forever.
"Form a happy acquaintance with your youth -- Very much has been lost to the cause of God because of inattention to the young. Ministers of the gospel should form a happy acquaintance with the youth of their congregations. There is a great reluctance on the part of many to become acquainted with the youth, but it is accounted of Heaven a neglect of duty, a sin against souls for whom Christ died. The youth are objects of Satan's special attacks; and the manifestation of kindness, courtesy, tender sympathy, and love, will often work the salvation of those who are under the temptations of the evil one. The love of Jesus will win you an entrance into the hearts of the young; and when you have obtained the confidence of the youth, they will listen to your words and take your counsel. You should bind them to your heart by the cords of love, and then instruct them how to labor in the cause of God. The youth may labor for their young companions in a quiet, unpretending way. This branch of God's work must not be neglected. Our churches are not doing what they might do for the youth. There seems to be no burden for souls for whom Christ died. Why should this labor for the youth in our borders not be thought the highest of missionary work? Why do the ministers leave the young without endeavoring to win them to Christ? Why do they not urge the young to give their hearts to God? This work will require the most delicate tact, the most thoughtful consideration, the most earnest prayer that heavenly wisdom may be imparted; for connected with the church are those who are not ignorant of our faith, yet whose hearts have never been touched by the power of divine grace." -- The Review and Herald, March 24, 1891.
23.1.1.1.1 The Work of Preparation
In our own country there is much to be done. There are many cities to be entered and warned. Evangelists should be finding their way into all the places where the minds of men are agitated over the question of Sunday legislation and the teaching of religion in the public schools. It is the neglect of Seventh-day Adventists to improve these providential opportunities that is hindering the advancement of the cause. {9T 51.2}
A work is to be done in and around San Francisco and Oakland. The adjacent towns are to be worked. Oh, I see so much the need of our ministers getting the spirit of the loud cry before it is too late to work for the conversion of souls.--Letter 113, 1902. {Ev 404.4}
There is no place in America of greater importance than Washington. The recent developments in that place show that our brethren moved there none too soon (1905). Angels of heaven directed their course in planting the standard of truth in Washington. Men of influence are being aroused to study the truth for this time. No opportunity should be left unimproved to establish the work firmly in this important place… Angels of heaven will unite with the Lord's appointed ministers and medical missionaries, aiding them to exert on the minds of the people an influence in favor of the truth. Philadelphia and other important places should be worked. Evangelists should be finding their way into all the places where the minds of men are agitated over the question of Sunday legislation and of the teaching of religion in the public schools. Christ shall give us rest on Sabbath to enter into total rest (emotional, physical and spiritual) So while we cast our burden upon Jesus, He in return gives us to carry the burden for souls.- Matthew 11:28-30.
Genesis 49:14,15—Issachar [is] a strong ass couching down between two burdens: And he saw that rest [was] good, and the land that [it was] pleasant; and bowed his shoulder to bear, and became a servant unto tribute.
(We have to give thanks to God for opening our eyes to the signs of the times. Religion coming into our public school showing that the devil is creating chaos with the LGBTQ+ movement to swing the pendulum to the far extreme of the spectrum to integrate church and state that will enforce a Sunday law and persecute your commandment keeping people. Pray and ask God to help us prepare for the last days by having victory over sin so as to vindicate that God’s Law can be obeyed and Satan’s be exposed as the great liar. The papacy is just what prophecy declared that she would be, the apostasy of the latter times. 2 Thessalonians 2:3, 4. It is a part of her policy to assume the character which will best accomplish her purpose; but beneath the variable appearance of the chameleon she conceals the invariable venom of the serpent. "Faith ought not to be kept with heretics, nor persons suspected of heresy" (Lenfant, volume 1, page 516), she declares. Shall this power, whose record for a thousand years is written in the blood of the saints, be now acknowledged as a part of the church of Christ? {GC 571.2}
It is not without reason that the claim has been put forth in Protestant countries that Catholicism differs less widely from Protestantism than in former times. There has been a change; but the change is not in the papacy. Catholicism indeed resembles much of the Protestantism that now exists, because Protestantism has so greatly degenerated since the days of the Reformers. {GC 571.3}
As the Protestant churches have been seeking the favor of the world, false charity has blinded their eyes. They do not see but that it is right to believe good of all evil, and as the inevitable result they will finally believe evil of all good. A prayerful study of the Bible would show Protestants the real character of the papacy, and would cause them to abhor and to shun it; but men are so wise in their own conceit that they feel no need of humbly seeking God that they may be led into the truth. Although priding themselves on their enlightenment, they are ignorant both of the Scriptures and of the power of God. They must have some means of quieting their consciences; and they seek that which is least spiritual and humiliating. What they desire is a method of forgetting God which shall pass as a method of remembering him. The papacy is well adapted to meet the wants of all these. It is prepared for two classes of mankind, embracing nearly the whole world,--those who would be saved by their merits, and those who would be saved in their sins. “In every generation God has sent His servants to rebuke sin, both in the world and in the church. But the people desire smooth things spoken to them, and the pure, unvarnished truth is not acceptable. Many reformers, in entering upon their work, determined to exercise great prudence in attacking the sins of the church and the nation. They hoped, by the example of a pure Christian life, to lead the people back to the doctrines of the Bible. But the Spirit of God came upon them as it came upon Elijah, moving him to rebuke the sins of a wicked king and an apostate people; they could not refrain from preaching the plain utterances of the Bible-- doctrines which they had been reluctant to present. 23.1.2.2 Sunday Rest to Combat Climate Change
What does Pope Francis say? To combat climate change, every person must honour and observe Sunday rest:
Laudato Si #237 (2015) Sunday, like the Jewish Sabbath, is meant to be a day which heals our relationships with God, with ourselves, with others and with the world…It [Sunday] protects human action from becoming empty activism; it [Sunday] also prevents that unfettered greed and sense of isolation which make us seek personal gain to the detriment of all else. The law of weekly rest forbade work on the seventh day…[See Ex 23:12]. Rest opens our eyes to the larger picture and gives us renewed sensitivity to the rights of others. In a time such as these, we should all return to the Lord by heeding Isaiah 54:13 – “And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.” (This is the call to the daughters of the Harlot and to the kings of the world to come out of her before the close of probation.)
23.1.2.2.1 Learn Apply ABCs in times of Crises
A represents Acceptance. Accept the assignment, accept the trouble, accept the trial, accept the crisis.
B represents Believe. 1 Corinthians 10:13; Phil 4:19 Believe that God has a solution, a remedy, God has a way out.
C represents Christ Jesus applying His A & B in dealing with Perplexities
A—-John 18:10,11—-the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?
B—-Matthew 26:52-54—Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
1. Passover typifies the Sunday Law crisis
John 6:4—“And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.”
John 6:5,6—When Jesus then lifted up [his] eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.
Philip’s Response: John 6:7—Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.
Jesus also tested Andrew: John 6:8,9—One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him, There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many? ( Similarly Jesus is going to test each of us when Sunday law is enforced.)
How did Jesus solve that Problem? John 6:10—And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. [CALM DOWN]
John 6:11—And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given THANKS, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. (So, whenever we are in a crisis, believe that God has a way out. We simply thank God for the crisis and watch as witness. God will work a miracle.)
Philippians 4:6,7—Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
2. NINE Lepers Cleansed But ONE was Made Whole—He Returned to Thank God (Luk 17:14-19)
Luke 17:14 And when he saw [them], he said unto them, Go show yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
17:15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
17:16 And fell down on [his] face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
17:17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where [are] the nine?
17:18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
17:19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
(This episode teaches that although ten lepers were delivered from the curse of leprosy, nine of them returned to their old lifestyle and will eventually die the second death. Only the one who kept praising Jesus and continued in obeying Jesus teaching will be raised up from the first death with immortal life and enter into the kingdom of heaven.)
3. In a Life and Death Situation, Still find Time to Thank God—3 Times A Day (Psa 55:17)
Daniel 6:10—Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
1 Thessalonians 5:17,18—Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Psalm 100:4—Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, [and] into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, [and] bless his name.
Have we not reason to talk of God's goodness and to tell of His power? When friends are kind to us we esteem it a privilege to thank them for their kindness. How much more should we count it a joy to return thanks to the Friend who has given us every good and perfect gift. Then let us, in every church, cultivate thanksgiving to God. Let us educate our lips to praise God in the family circle. . . . Let our gifts and offerings declare our gratitude for the favors we daily receive. In everything we should show forth the joy of the Lord. . . . {AG 325.3}
O how much good would be accomplished were God honored by all who profess to be Christians! . . . The Light of the world is shining upon men in richest blessing. Every provision has been made for the supplying of our temporal and spiritual needs. Yet how little thanksgiving the Giver receives! . . . {TMK 219.3}

At the time of trouble Satan numbers the world as his subject. But here is one group that refused to unite with the world, reject his authority, rejects false worship. Those who honor the Bible Sabbath will be denounced as enemies of law and order, as breaking down the moral restraints of society, causing anarchy and corruption, and calling down the judgments of God upon the earth. Their conscientious scruples will be pronounced obstinacy, stubbornness, and contempt of authority. They will be accused of disaffection toward the government. Ministers who deny the obligation of the divine law will present from the pulpit the duty of yielding obedience to the civil authorities as ordained of God. In legislative halls and courts of justice, commandment keepers will be misrepresented and condemned. 23.2 Judgment on Satan is Very Near

They dared not tolerate errors fatal to their own souls, and set an example which would imperil the faith of their children and children's children. In the past the Lord God of ages revealed his secrets to his prophets. The Omniscient looked down the centuries, and predicted through his prophets the rise and fall of kingdoms, hundreds of years before the events foretold took place. The present and the future are equally clear to God, and he shows his servants what shall be. His voice echoes down the ages, telling man what is to take place. Kings and princes take their position at the appointed time. They think they are carrying out their own purposes, but in reality they are fulfilling the word God has given through his prophets. The unbelieving and godless do not discern the signs of the time. In ignorance they may refuse to accept the inspired record. But when professed Christians speak sneeringly of the means employed by the great I AM to make his purposes known, they show themselves to be ignorant both of the Scriptures and of the power of God. The Creator knows just what elements he has to deal with in human nature. He knows what means to employ to obtain the desired end. The Christian who accepts the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, will look at Bible history in its true bearing. Man's word fails; and he who takes the assertions of man as his dependence may well tremble; for he will one day be a shipwrecked vessel. But God's word is infallible, and endures forever. Christ declares, "Verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." God's word will endure through the ceaseless ages of eternity. God lives and reigns. His glory is not confined to the temple made with hands. He has not closed heaven against his people. The Bible tells us God through Christ created on the first day Light ( Gen 1:3-5 )and divided the light from the darkness. Jesus confirms this, saying He is the light of the world (Jn 8:12) He shed that llght in the world in darkness ( Mat 4:16) under the rule of Satan , the prince of darkness since the fall of Adam and Eve to his deception; and has called us to be the light of the world ( Mat 5:14, 16) Therefore we must now be carrying the light to those in darkness ( Isa 16:1-3)
“In a special sense Seventh-day Adventists (SDA)* have been set in the world as watchmen and light bearers. To them has been entrusted the last warning for a perishing world. On them is shining wonderful light from the word of God. They have been given a work of the most solemn import--the proclamation of the first, second, and third angels' messages. There is no other work of so great importance. They are to allow nothing else to absorb their attention. {9T 19.1}
(*Note: SDA* -The most solemn truths ever entrusted to mortals have been given us to proclaim to the world. The proclamation of these truths is to be our work. The world is to be warned, and God's people are to be true to the trust committed to them. They are not to engage in speculation, neither are they to enter into business enterprises with unbelievers; for this would hinder them in their God-given work.” {9T 19.2}
This does not mean that all SDA’s will automatically be saved. In fact, Ellen White said that only one in 20 (5%) will remain faithful to the coming of Christ. It is foretold that the shaking to sieve out the tares from the wheat must happen in the SDA church.
It is a solemn statement that I make to the church, that not one in twenty whose names are registered upon the church books are prepared to close their earthly history, and would be as verily without God and without hope in the world as the common sinner.--ChS 41 (1893). {LDE 172.1}
Those who have had opportunities to hear and receive of the truth and who have united with the Seventh-day Adventist church, calling themselves the commandment-keeping people of God, and yet possess no more vitality and consecration to God than do the nominal churches, will receive the plagues of God just as verily as the churches who oppose the law of God.--19MR 176 (1898). {LDE 172.2}
In every religious crisis some fall under temptation. The shaking of God blows away multitudes like dry leaves. Prosperity multiplies a mass of professors. Adversity purges them out of the church. As a class, their spirits are not steadfast with God. They go out from us because they are not of us; for when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, many are offended. {4T 89.2}
I saw that individuals would rise up against the plain testimonies. It does not suit their natural feelings. They would choose to have smooth things spoken unto them, and have peace cried in their ears. I view the church in a more dangerous condition than they ever have been. Experimental religion is known but by a few. The shaking must soon take place to purify the church. {2SG 284.1}
When the religion of Christ is most held in contempt, when His law is most despised, then should our zeal be the warmest and our courage and firmness the most unflinching. To stand in defense of truth and righteousness when the majority forsake us, to fight the battles of the Lord when champions are few--this will be our test. At this time we must gather warmth from the coldness of others, courage from their cowardice, and loyalty from their treason.--5T 136 (1882). {LDE 180.4}
The church may appear as about to fall, but it does not fall. It remains, while the sinners in Zion will be sifted out--the chaff separated from the precious wheat. This is a terrible ordeal, but nevertheless it must take place.--2SM 380 (1886). {LDE 180.5}
As the storm approaches, a large class who have professed faith in the third angel's message, but have not been sanctified through obedience to the truth, abandon their position and join the ranks of the opposition.--GC 608 (1911). {LDE 180.6}
Some had been shaken out and left by the way. The careless and indifferent, who did not join with those who prized victory and salvation enough to perseveringly plead and agonize for it, did not obtain it, and they were left behind in darkness, and their places were immediately filled by others taking hold of the truth and coming into the ranks.--EW 271 (1858). {LDE 182.1} (These are the other sheep that Jesus said “I must bring and they shall hear my voice: and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd” – Jn 11:16; “the 7,000 men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal”- Rom 11;4. They will come out of spiritual Babylon.)
The broken ranks will be filled up by those represented by Christ as coming in at the eleventh hour. There are many with whom the Spirit of God is striving. The time of God's destructive judgments is the time of mercy for those who [now] have no opportunity to learn what is truth. Tenderly will the Lord look upon them. His heart of mercy is touched, His hand is still stretched out to save, while the door is closed to those who would not enter. Large numbers will be admitted who in these last days hear the truth for the first time.--Letter 103, 1903. {LDE 182.2}
There are many souls to come out of the ranks of the world, out of the churches--even the Catholic Church--whose zeal will far exceed that of those who have stood in rank and file to proclaim the truth heretofore.--3SM 386, 387 (1889). {LDE 211.3}

It was at Pentecost that greater light was imparted to the disciples that gathered at the upper room and then they carried the light into people’s homes that started the Christianity movement as we know it today.
“By personal labor reach those around you. Become acquainted with them. Preaching will not do the work that needs to be done. Angels of God attend you to the dwellings of those you visit. This work cannot be done by proxy. Money lent or given will not accomplish it. Sermons will not do it. By visiting the people, talking, praying, sympathizing with them, you will win hearts. This is the highest missionary work that you can do. To do it, you will need resolute, persevering faith, unwearying patience, and a deep love for souls.” {9T 41.2}
(It is by talking with them, asking questions about their concerns, burdens and trials and then praying with them those scriptures that relate to their concerns and their crisis. We need to find those promises and instructions that encapsulates what they are going through in the Bible Concordance and claiming them in prayer believing and enjoying the nourishment and strength from them. It is also from our daily devotion that we have something to share. We receive the light in a practical sense by studying the life of Jesus, Jesus says “I am the life. I am the light of men “-Jn 1:4. As we spend an hour daily contemplating the gospel of Christ we are receiving the life of Jesus. As we live it we can be the light of the world. This is the way we can bring light (Christ} into their presence, As we do this we shall have the experience of those who water (enlighten others) shalll be watered (enlightened)(Pro 11:25) The more you share the more will God share with you. As we witness we are pointing people to the life of Jesus.
“In the very effort to enlighten and bless others his own views will become clearer and broader. The more we endeavor to explain the truth to others, with a love for souls, the plainer will it become to ourselves. They never associate human activities with the sins they committed in violating the environment for monetary gains. The leaders of the world are telling us to listen to the scientists (the wise men and philosophers) instead of the preaching of Noah, God appointed messenger back in the days of Noah, when the antediluvian world was told for 120 years that a flood was coming as God’s judgment on the wicked world
The wise men and philosophers mocked and ridiculed Noah’s family in obediently building the Ark as instructed by God. They said blatantly that they have never experienced a flood before.

God desires His people to prepare for the soon-crisis. Many lawmakers who pushed for it had fine intentions. At the time, the divorce regime had become a sham that made a mockery of the legal system. Because a judge had to find “fault” in one spouse to grant a divorce, spouses would often make phony allegations against each other, sometimes even working in tandem to fool a judge into granting them a divorce.
The consequences of no-fault divorce are almost impossible to overstate. It was like dropping a nuclear bomb into our nation’s social ecosystem—the blast wave has hit millions of families, and the fallout is worse than we could have imagined.
As one might expect, the nation saw a spike in divorce rates following the enactment of no-fault divorce laws. Between 1960 and 1980, the divorce rate more than doubled and remained relatively steady into the 1990s.
Generation X was the first of the collateral damage. Roughly half of all children born to married parents in the 1970s saw their parents divorce, a massive increase from just 11% of kids born in the 1950s. (Each year, 1 million U.S. kids see their parents get divorced. Half of all children at some point will see their parents split. And the most common reason now given for divorce? Lack of commitment, at 75%... Many millennials are choosing to cohabitate rather than get married—a path that leaves divorce off the table from the outset.)
No-fault divorce is the original rupture in our view of marriage. Same-sex marriage was just the latest mutation to an institution long robbed of its original meaning.
Millennials are onto something when they reject marriage as it’s widely understood and practiced. They see it for the contradiction that it has become. Better to shack up and take no vows, they say, than to take vows that won’t be kept. (Just as the Sabbath day institution is lightly regarded so it follows that the marriage institution is be disregarded. We are living in the last day crisis and Jesus has to come ( as it was in Noah’s day- Matt 24: 37-39 with the great flood.). if God should tarry just a little so is longer what would be the situation for the oldest individuals from Gen Z unless they return to God and vindicated that God’s law is to be obeyed and by faith in Christ, Satan and sin can be overcome.)
Easy divorce is part of what Pope Francis calls the “throwaway culture.” We throw away unwanted trash, unwanted babies, and unwanted spouses. Such is life in a culture that rejects the transcendent, the idea that we owe duties to each other by virtue of being human—and by virtue of our word.
This throwaway culture is the great cost of our contemporary religion, which is self-actualization. The creed of our day is that each person’s private happiness and self-actualization is the ultimate good. Kids, the unborn, and spouses we no longer love must bow the knee to our own personal quests for happiness.
But this contemporary vision shows signs of weakness.
For all our secular disenchantment, we still crave the transcendence and permanence offered by marriage as it was once understood. We long for bonds that don’t break.

Home Is the Heart of All Activity.--Society is composed of families, and is what the heads of families make it. Out of the heart are "the issues of life"; and the heart of the community, of the church, and of the nation is the household. The well-being of society, the success of the church, the prosperity of the nation, depend upon home influences. {AH 15.1} (If we want to revive the church must be revived and reformed which will only follow if our homes is set in order first and begins with the husband.)
iii) The Last Days Generation and Gen Z
The elevation or deterioration of the future of society will be determined by the manners and morals of the youth growing up around us. As the youth are educated, and as their characters are molded in their childhood to virtuous habits, self-control, and temperance, so will their influence be upon society. If they are left unenlightened and uncontrolled, and as the result become self-willed, intemperate in appetite and passion, so will be their future influence in molding society. The company which the young now keep, the habits they now form, and the principles they now adopt are the index to the state of society for years to come. {AH 15.2} ( In the end-time, it will be in bringing about the second coming of Christ to eradicate Satan.)
We may learn precious lessons in this respect from the life and character of Timothy. From a child, Timothy had known the Scriptures. Religion was the atmosphere of his home. The piety of his home life was not of a cheap order, but pure, sensible, and uncorrupted by false sentiments. Its moral influence was substantial, not fitful, not impulsive, not changeable. The word of God was the rule which guided Timothy. He received his instruction, line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, and there a little. And the spiritual power of these lessons kept him pure in speech, and free from all corrupting sentiments. His home instructors co-operated with God in educating this young man to bear the burdens that were to come upon him at an early age. {YI, May 5, 1898 par. 2}
In the history of Timothy are found precious lessons. He was a mere lad when chosen by God as a teacher; but so fixed were his principles by a correct education that he was fitted for this important position. He bore his responsibilities with Christlike meekness. He was faithful, steadfast, and true, and Paul selected him to be his companion in labor and travel. Lest Timothy should meet with slights because of his youthfulness, Paul wrote to him, "Let no man despise thy youth." He could safely do this, because Timothy was not self-sufficient, but continually sought guidance. {YI, February 13, 1902 par. 5}
There are many youth who move from impulse rather than from judgment. But Timothy inquired at every step, "Is this the way of the Lord?" He had no specially brilliant talents, but he consecrated all his abilities to the service of God, and this made his work valuable. The Lord found in him a mind that he could mold and fashion for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. {YI, February 13, 1902 par. 6}
God will use the youth today as he used Timothy, if they will submit to his guidance. It is your privilege to be God's missionaries. He calls upon you to work for your companions. Seek out those you know to be in danger, and in the love of Christ try to help them. How are they to know the Saviour unless they see his virtues in his followers? {YI, February 13, 1902 par. 7}
The charge given to Timothy should be heeded in every household, and become an educating power in every family and in every school. He was enjoined, "Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ." "Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things. . . . Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." ( Tim 4:13-16) {YI, May 5, 1898 par. 9}
The highest aim of our youth should not be to strain after something novel. There was none of this in the mind and work of Timothy. They should bear in mind that, in the hands of the enemy of all good, knowledge alone may be a power to destroy them. It was a very intellectual being, one who occupied a high position among the angelic throng, that finally became a rebel; and many a mind of superior intellectual attainments is now being led captive by his power. The youth should place themselves under the teaching of the Holy Scriptures, and weave them into their daily thoughts and practical life. Then they will possess the attributes classed as highest in the heavenly courts. They will hide themselves in God, and their lives will tell to his glory. Mrs. E. G. White. {YI, May 5, 1898 par. 13}
To every young man in the ministry, Paul's words to Timothy are spoken, "Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine." 1( Tim 4:12) Thyself needs the first attention. First give yourself to the Lord for sanctification to his service. A godly example will tell more for the truth than the greatest eloquence unaccompanied by a well-ordered life. Trim the lamp of the soul, and replenish it with the oil of the Spirit. Seek from Christ that grace, that clearness of comprehension, which will enable you to do successful work. Learn from him what it means to labor for those for whom he gave his life. The most talented worker can do little unless Christ is formed within, the hope and strength of the life. {RH, August 19, 1902 par. 4}
iiia) The Disposal of Sin
Some men’s sins are open beforehand, confessed in penitence, and forsaken, and they go beforehand to judgment. Pardon is written over against the names of these men. But other men’s sins follow after and are not put away by repentance and confession, and these sins will stand registered against them in the books of heaven. Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand. Christ is the pattern to be copied in the life. When a man gives evidence that he is sound in principle, when he is of good repute among those where he is best known, when his character is one whose influence will be Christlike, he should be admitted to fellowship and confidence without hesitancy. But he whose works show him to be unstable, who says one thing and does the very opposite, is careless of his words and influence, bringing out of his heart the evil things lurking there, such a one will profane both men and God. He will say anything that comes into his mind, whether he knows it to be falsehood or truth. There is a mixture of good and bad in his character, and he speaks just as he feels without studying the influence his words must have upon those who believe him to be a true minister of the gospel. They have heard him speak as Christ’s ambassador, and therefore they will either regard his sins lightly or their confidence in him as a devoted servant of Christ will be destroyed. The minister of Christ should be circumspect; he should understand human nature. ( Ms 1a, 1890, p 41)
When souls are converted, their salvation is not yet accomplished. They then have the race to run; the arduous struggle is before them to do, what? “To fight the good fight of faith,” to press forward to the mark for the prize of the high calling which is in Christ Jesus. [1 Timothy 6:12; Philippians 3:14.] There is no release in this warfare; the battle is life-long, and must be carried forward with determined energy proportionate to the value of the object you are in pursuit of, which is eternal life. Immense interests are here involved. We are made partakers of Christ’s self-sacrifice here in this life, and then we are assured that we shall be partakers of all its benefits in the future, immortal life, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end. iiib) Precious Promises
“Lay hold on eternal life.” [1 Timothy 6:12.] Come to Jesus in faith. Ask, and ye shall receive. The forgiveness of sins is promised to him who repents, justification to him who believes, and the crown of life to him who is faithful unto death. The arms of Jesus are open to receive you now just now. Will you come to Him? Jesus presents to you the gift of eternal life. Will you receive it? Faith and works go together, and each is dead if alone. Not that works will save you, they are the fruit of faith. But living faith will reveal itself in action. (Letter 33 1893, par 16)
iiic) Harmony in Science and Religion
God is the foundation of everything. All true science is in harmony with his works; all true education leads to obedience to his government. Science opens new wonders to our view; she soars high and explores new depths; but she brings nothing from her research that conflicts with divine revelation. Ignorance may seek to support false views of God by appeals to science; but the book of nature and the written word do not disagree; each sheds light on the other. Rightly understood, they make us acquainted with God and his character by teaching us something of the wise and beneficent laws through which he works. We are thus led to adore his holy name, and to have an intelligent trust in his word. {ST, March 20, 1884 par. 8}
The Bible should be read every day. It is the correct standard of right and wrong and of moral principle. A life of devotion to God is the best shield for the young against the temptations to which they are exposed while acquiring an education. The first consideration should be to honor God; the second to be faithful to humanity, performing the duties and meeting the trials that each day brings, and bearing its burdens with firmness and courage. Earnest and untiring effort, united with strong purpose and entire trust in God, will help in every emergency, and will qualify for a useful life. Such a life is a series of triumphs, not always seen and understood, but reaching far into the future, when we shall see as we are seen and know as we are known. {ST, March 20, 1884 par. 9}
iiid) Sophistry of False Science
We need to guard continually against the sophistry in regard to geology and other branches of science falsely so-called, which have not one semblance of truth. The theories of great men need to be carefully sifted of the slightest trace of infidel suggestions. One tiny seed sown by teachers in our schools, if received by the students, will raise a harvest of unbelief. The leaders of the world are telling us to listen to the scientists (the wise men and philosophers) instead of the preaching of Noah, God appointed messenger back in the days of Noah, when the antediluvian world was told for 120 years that a flood was coming as God’s judgment on the wicked world
The wise men and philosophers mocked and ridiculed Noah’s family in obediently building the Ark as instructed by God. They said blatantly that they have never experienced a flood before.

The announcement came during the second day of the Second Annual Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom sponsored by the U.S. State Department, which is taking place in the nation’s capital with more than 1,000 representatives from civil society and religious groups
It is now confirmed that this event will be held from Oct 2-4 at the Vatican. This is foretold in the Spirit of Prophecy (1911):
“When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near.” {5T 451.1}
Rev 13:12 And he (second beast (US)) exerciseth all the power of the first beast ( Papacy) before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

Rev 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. (We must understand that very soon we will see “the marvelous working of Satan”* and many will be deceived by fire falling from heaven, thinking it is the act of God when it is not. Satan will impersonate Christ deceiving the nations in his final act before his destruction.)

“It will be declared that men are offending God by the violation of the Sunday sabbath; that this sin has brought calamities which will not cease until Sunday observance shall be strictly enforced; and that those who present the claims of the fourth commandment, thus destroying reverence for Sunday, are troublers of the people, preventing their restoration to divine favor and temporal prosperity.” {GC 590.1}
All who in that evil day would fearlessly serve God according to the dictates of conscience, will need courage, firmness, and a knowledge of God and His word; for those who are true to God will be persecuted, their motives will be impugned, their best efforts misinterpreted, and their names cast out as evil. Satan will work with all his deceptive power to influence the heart and becloud the understanding, to make evil appear good, and good evil. The stronger and purer the faith of God's people, and the firmer their determination to obey Him, the more fiercely will Satan strive to stir up against them the rage of those who, while claiming to be righteous, trample upon the law of God. It will require the firmest trust, the most heroic purpose, to hold fast the faith once delivered to the saints. {AA 431.1})
God desires His people to prepare for the soon-crisis. Prepared or unprepared, they must all meet it; and those only who have brought their lives into conformity to the divine standard, will stand firm at that time of test and trial. When secular rulers unite with ministers of religion to dictate in matters of conscience, then it will be seen who really fear and serve God. When the darkness is deepest, the light of a godlike character will shine the brightest. When every other trust fails, then it will be seen who have an abiding trust in Jehovah. And while the enemies of truth are on every side, watching the Lord's servants for evil, God will watch over them for good. He will be to them as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land. {AA 431.2}
v) The Impending Test of Sabbath Keeping
A National Sunday law is coming in America, which is a religious test being brought to view and God is revealing that prophecy is fulfilling in current events for those who are watching and preparing.
Now is the hour, the finishing of the Father’s business in the true way, when the Pope is promoting the season of creation, we can honour God’s creation is by honouring the Sabbath. In show your obedience to the Creator who created heaven and earth we will vindicate that God’s law can be obeyed and prove that Satan is the liar. Let us get to work. Jesus coming is nearer than we thought yesterday. We must be ready even if that day is not tomorrow or the next day or year for “If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.” (Rev 3:3; 16:5)

God gave to men a twin institution (Marriage (family) and worship (Sabbath)) in the Garden of Eden. The fall of Adam and Eve was caused by Satan’s deception to disobey God’s word. In our fallen state we need on focus on recovery that God gave as soon as sin was committed in order that human beings need not die immediately. In mercy and Goodness, we were given probation to repent and claim by faith in the righteousness of Christ, the promise given to Adam and Eve pointing forward to the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world.
The two main areas that Satan has been very successful in enslaving people are in the breaking up of the marriage partnership and in not keeping the Sabbath holy where reform is vitally needed in order to succeed in defeating Satan.

Fifty years ago this week, Ronald Reagan made what he later admitted was one of the worst mistakes of his political life: As governor of California, he signed a bill bringing no-fault divorce to his state.
California was the first state to take the plunge, but by no means the last. Reagan’s signature unleashed what became a national divorce revolution.
Within five years, 44 states would follow suit and pass some form of no-fault divorce.
Many lawmakers who pushed for it had fine intentions. At the time, the divorce regime had become a sham that made a mockery of the legal system. Because a judge had to find “fault” in one spouse to grant a divorce, spouses would often make phony allegations against each other, sometimes even working in tandem to fool a judge into granting them a divorce.
The consequences of no-fault divorce are almost impossible to overstate. It was like dropping a nuclear bomb into our nation’s social ecosystem—the blast wave has hit millions of families, and the fallout is worse than we could have imagined.
As one might expect, the nation saw a spike in divorce rates following the enactment of no-fault divorce laws. Between 1960 and 1980, the divorce rate more than doubled and remained relatively steady into the 1990s.
Generation X was the first of the collateral damage. Roughly half of all children born to married parents in the 1970s saw their parents divorce, a massive increase from just 11% of kids born in the 1950s. (Each year, 1 million U.S. kids see their parents get divorced. Half of all children at some point will see their parents split. And the most common reason now given for divorce? Lack of commitment, at 75%... Many millennials are choosing to cohabitate rather than get married—a path that leaves divorce off the table from the outset.)
No-fault divorce is the original rupture in our view of marriage. Same-sex marriage was just the latest mutation to an institution long robbed of its original meaning.
Millennials are onto something when they reject marriage as it’s widely understood and practiced. They see it for the contradiction that it has become. Better to shack up and take no vows, they say, than to take vows that won’t be kept. (Just as the Sabbath day institution is lightly regarded so it follows that the marriage institution is be disregarded. We are living in the last day crisis and Jesus has to come ( as it was in Noah’s day- Matt 24: 37-39 with the great flood.). if God should tarry just a little so is longer what would be the situation for the oldest individuals from Gen Z unless they return to God and vindicated that God’s law is to be obeyed and by faith in Christ, Satan and sin can be overcome.)
Easy divorce is part of what Pope Francis calls the “throwaway culture.” We throw away unwanted trash, unwanted babies, and unwanted spouses. Such is life in a culture that rejects the transcendent, the idea that we owe duties to each other by virtue of being human—and by virtue of our word.
This throwaway culture is the great cost of our contemporary religion, which is self-actualization. The creed of our day is that each person’s private happiness and self-actualization is the ultimate good. Kids, the unborn, and spouses we no longer love must bow the knee to our own personal quests for happiness.
But this contemporary vision shows signs of weakness.
For all our secular disenchantment, we still crave the transcendence and permanence offered by marriage as it was once understood. We long for bonds that don’t break.

Home Is the Heart of All Activity.--Society is composed of families, and is what the heads of families make it. Out of the heart are "the issues of life"; and the heart of the community, of the church, and of the nation is the household. The well-being of society, the success of the church, the prosperity of the nation, depend upon home influences. {AH 15.1} (If we want to revive the church must be revived and reformed which will only follow if our homes is set in order first and begins with the husband.)
iii) The Last Days Generation and Gen Z
The elevation or deterioration of the future of society will be determined by the manners and morals of the youth growing up around us. As the youth are educated, and as their characters are molded in their childhood to virtuous habits, self-control, and temperance, so will their influence be upon society. If they are left unenlightened and uncontrolled, and as the result become self-willed, intemperate in appetite and passion, so will be their future influence in molding society. The company which the young now keep, the habits they now form, and the principles they now adopt are the index to the state of society for years to come. {AH 15.2} ( In the end-time, it will be in bringing about the second coming of Christ to eradicate Satan.)
We may learn precious lessons in this respect from the life and character of Timothy. From a child, Timothy had known the Scriptures. Religion was the atmosphere of his home. The piety of his home life was not of a cheap order, but pure, sensible, and uncorrupted by false sentiments. Its moral influence was substantial, not fitful, not impulsive, not changeable. The word of God was the rule which guided Timothy. He received his instruction, line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, and there a little. And the spiritual power of these lessons kept him pure in speech, and free from all corrupting sentiments. His home instructors co-operated with God in educating this young man to bear the burdens that were to come upon him at an early age. {YI, May 5, 1898 par. 2}
In the history of Timothy are found precious lessons. He was a mere lad when chosen by God as a teacher; but so fixed were his principles by a correct education that he was fitted for this important position. He bore his responsibilities with Christlike meekness. He was faithful, steadfast, and true, and Paul selected him to be his companion in labor and travel. Lest Timothy should meet with slights because of his youthfulness, Paul wrote to him, "Let no man despise thy youth." He could safely do this, because Timothy was not self-sufficient, but continually sought guidance. {YI, February 13, 1902 par. 5}
There are many youth who move from impulse rather than from judgment. But Timothy inquired at every step, "Is this the way of the Lord?" He had no specially brilliant talents, but he consecrated all his abilities to the service of God, and this made his work valuable. The Lord found in him a mind that he could mold and fashion for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. {YI, February 13, 1902 par. 6}
God will use the youth today as he used Timothy, if they will submit to his guidance. It is your privilege to be God's missionaries. He calls upon you to work for your companions. Seek out those you know to be in danger, and in the love of Christ try to help them. How are they to know the Saviour unless they see his virtues in his followers? {YI, February 13, 1902 par. 7}
The charge given to Timothy should be heeded in every household, and become an educating power in every family and in every school. He was enjoined, "Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ." "Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things. . . . Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." ( Tim 4:13-16) {YI, May 5, 1898 par. 9}
The highest aim of our youth should not be to strain after something novel. There was none of this in the mind and work of Timothy. They should bear in mind that, in the hands of the enemy of all good, knowledge alone may be a power to destroy them. It was a very intellectual being, one who occupied a high position among the angelic throng, that finally became a rebel; and many a mind of superior intellectual attainments is now being led captive by his power. The youth should place themselves under the teaching of the Holy Scriptures, and weave them into their daily thoughts and practical life. Then they will possess the attributes classed as highest in the heavenly courts. They will hide themselves in God, and their lives will tell to his glory. Mrs. E. G. White. {YI, May 5, 1898 par. 13}
To every young man in the ministry, Paul's words to Timothy are spoken, "Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine." 1( Tim 4:12) Thyself needs the first attention. First give yourself to the Lord for sanctification to his service. A godly example will tell more for the truth than the greatest eloquence unaccompanied by a well-ordered life. Trim the lamp of the soul, and replenish it with the oil of the Spirit. Seek from Christ that grace, that clearness of comprehension, which will enable you to do successful work. Learn from him what it means to labor for those for whom he gave his life. The most talented worker can do little unless Christ is formed within, the hope and strength of the life. {RH, August 19, 1902 par. 4}
iiia) The Disposal of Sin
Some men’s sins are open beforehand, confessed in penitence, and forsaken, and they go beforehand to judgment. Pardon is written over against the names of these men. But other men’s sins follow after and are not put away by repentance and confession, and these sins will stand registered against them in the books of heaven. Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand. Christ is the pattern to be copied in the life. When a man gives evidence that he is sound in principle, when he is of good repute among those where he is best known, when his character is one whose influence will be Christlike, he should be admitted to fellowship and confidence without hesitancy. But he whose works show him to be unstable, who says one thing and does the very opposite, is careless of his words and influence, bringing out of his heart the evil things lurking there, such a one will profane both men and God. He will say anything that comes into his mind, whether he knows it to be falsehood or truth. There is a mixture of good and bad in his character, and he speaks just as he feels without studying the influence his words must have upon those who believe him to be a true minister of the gospel. They have heard him speak as Christ’s ambassador, and therefore they will either regard his sins lightly or their confidence in him as a devoted servant of Christ will be destroyed. The minister of Christ should be circumspect; he should understand human nature. ( Ms 1a, 1890, p 41)
When souls are converted, their salvation is not yet accomplished. They then have the race to run; the arduous struggle is before them to do, what? “To fight the good fight of faith,” to press forward to the mark for the prize of the high calling which is in Christ Jesus. [1 Timothy 6:12; Philippians 3:14.] There is no release in this warfare; the battle is life-long, and must be carried forward with determined energy proportionate to the value of the object you are in pursuit of, which is eternal life. Immense interests are here involved. We are made partakers of Christ’s self-sacrifice here in this life, and then we are assured that we shall be partakers of all its benefits in the future, immortal life, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end. Think of this. (Letter 33 1893, par 3)
iiib) Precious Promises
“Lay hold on eternal life.” [1 Timothy 6:12.] Come to Jesus in faith. Ask, and ye shall receive. The forgiveness of sins is promised to him who repents, justification to him who believes, and the crown of life to him who is faithful unto death. The arms of Jesus are open to receive you now just now. Will you come to Him? Jesus presents to you the gift of eternal life. Will you receive it? Faith and works go together, and each is dead if alone. Not that works will save you, they are the fruit of faith. But living faith will reveal itself in action. (Letter 33 1893, par 16)
iiic) Harmony in Science and Religion
God is the foundation of everything. All true science is in harmony with his works; all true education leads to obedience to his government. God gave to men a twin institution (Marriage (family) and worship (Sabbath)) in the Garden of Eden. The fall of Adam and Eve was caused by Satan’s deception to disobey God’s word. Fifty years ago this week, Ronald Reagan made what he later admitted was one of the worst mistakes of his political life: As governor of California, he signed a bill bringing no-fault divorce to his state.
California was the first state to take the plunge, but by no means the last. Reagan’s signature unleashed what became a national divorce revolution.
Within five years, 44 states would follow suit and pass some form of no-fault divorce.
Many lawmakers who pushed for it had fine intentions. At the time, the divorce regime had become a sham that made a mockery of the legal system. Because a judge had to find “fault” in one spouse to grant a divorce, spouses would often make phony allegations against each other, sometimes even working in tandem to fool a judge into granting them a divorce.
The consequences of no-fault divorce are almost impossible to overstate. It was like dropping a nuclear bomb into our nation’s social ecosystem—the blast wave has hit millions of families, and the fallout is worse than we could have imagined.
As one might expect, the nation saw a spike in divorce rates following the enactment of no-fault divorce laws. Between 1960 and 1980, the divorce rate more than doubled and remained relatively steady into the 1990s.
Generation X was the first of the collateral damage. Roughly half of all children born to married parents in the 1970s saw their parents divorce, a massive increase from just 11% of kids born in the 1950s. (Each year, 1 million U.S. kids see their parents get divorced. Half of all children at some point will see their parents split. And the most common reason now given for divorce? Millennials are onto something when they reject marriage as it’s widely understood and practiced. They see it for the contradiction that it has become. Better to shack up and take no vows, they say, than to take vows that won’t be kept. (Just as the Sabbath day institution is lightly regarded so it follows that the marriage institution is be disregarded. We are living in the last day crisis and Jesus has to come ( as it was in Noah’s day- Matt 24: 37-39 with the great flood.). if God should tarry just a little so is longer what would be the situation for the oldest individuals from Gen Z unless they return to God and vindicated that God’s law is to be obeyed and by faith in Christ, Satan and sin can be overcome.)
Easy divorce is part of what Pope Francis calls the “throwaway culture.” We throw away unwanted trash, unwanted babies, and unwanted spouses. Such is life in a culture that rejects the transcendent, the idea that we owe duties to each other by virtue of being human—and by virtue of our word.
This throwaway culture is the great cost of our contemporary religion, which is self-actualization. The creed of our day is that each person’s private happiness and self-actualization is the ultimate good. Kids, the unborn, and spouses we no longer love must bow the knee to our own personal quests for happiness.
But this contemporary vision shows signs of weakness.
For all our secular disenchantment, we still crave the transcendence and permanence offered by marriage as it was once understood. We long for bonds that don’t break.

Home Is the Heart of All Activity.--Society is composed of families, and is what the heads of families make it. Out of the heart are "the issues of life"; and the heart of the community, of the church, and of the nation is the household. The well-being of society, the success of the church, the prosperity of the nation, depend upon home influences. {AH 15.1} (If we want to revive the church must be revived and reformed which will only follow if our homes is set in order first and begins with the husband.)
iii) The Last Days Generation and Gen Z
The elevation or deterioration of the future of society will be determined by the manners and morals of the youth growing up around us. As the youth are educated, and as their characters are molded in their childhood to virtuous habits, self-control, and temperance, so will their influence be upon society. If they are left unenlightened and uncontrolled, and as the result become self-willed, intemperate in appetite and passion, so will be their future influence in molding society. The company which the young now keep, the habits they now form, and the principles they now adopt are the index to the state of society for years to come. {AH 15.2} ( In the end-time, it will be in bringing about the second coming of Christ to eradicate Satan.)
We may learn precious lessons in this respect from the life and character of Timothy. From a child, Timothy had known the Scriptures. Religion was the atmosphere of his home. The piety of his home life was not of a cheap order, but pure, sensible, and uncorrupted by false sentiments. Its moral influence was substantial, not fitful, not impulsive, not changeable. The word of God was the rule which guided Timothy. He received his instruction, line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, and there a little. And the spiritual power of these lessons kept him pure in speech, and free from all corrupting sentiments. His home instructors co-operated with God in educating this young man to bear the burdens that were to come upon him at an early age. {YI, May 5, 1898 par. 2}
In the history of Timothy are found precious lessons. He was a mere lad when chosen by God as a teacher; but so fixed were his principles by a correct education that he was fitted for this important position. He bore his responsibilities with Christlike meekness. He was faithful, steadfast, and true, and Paul selected him to be his companion in labor and travel. Lest Timothy should meet with slights because of his youthfulness, Paul wrote to him, "Let no man despise thy youth." He could safely do this, because Timothy was not self-sufficient, but continually sought guidance. {YI, February 13, 1902 par. 5}
There are many youth who move from impulse rather than from judgment. But Timothy inquired at every step, "Is this the way of the Lord?" He had no specially brilliant talents, but he consecrated all his abilities to the service of God, and this made his work valuable. The Lord found in him a mind that he could mold and fashion for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. {YI, February 13, 1902 par. 6}
God will use the youth today as he used Timothy, if they will submit to his guidance. It is your privilege to be God's missionaries. He calls upon you to work for your companions. Seek out those you know to be in danger, and in the love of Christ try to help them. How are they to know the Saviour unless they see his virtues in his followers? {YI, February 13, 1902 par. 7}
The charge given to Timothy should be heeded in every household, and become an educating power in every family and in every school. He was enjoined, "Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ." "Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things. . . . The highest aim of our youth should not be to strain after something novel. There was none of this in the mind and work of Timothy. They should bear in mind that, in the hands of the enemy of all good, knowledge alone may be a power to destroy them. It was a very intellectual being, one who occupied a high position among the angelic throng, that finally became a rebel; and many a mind of superior intellectual attainments is now being led captive by his power. The youth should place themselves under the teaching of the Holy Scriptures, and weave them into their daily thoughts and practical life. Then they will possess the attributes classed as highest in the heavenly courts. They will hide themselves in God, and their lives will tell to his glory. Mrs. E. G. White. {YI, May 5, 1898 par. 13}
To every young man in the ministry, Paul's words to Timothy are spoken, "Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine." 1( Tim 4:12) Thyself needs the first attention. First give yourself to the Lord for sanctification to his service. A godly example will tell more for the truth than the greatest eloquence unaccompanied by a well-ordered life. Trim the lamp of the soul, and replenish it with the oil of the Spirit. Seek from Christ that grace, that clearness of comprehension, which will enable you to do successful work. Learn from him what it means to labor for those for whom he gave his life. The most talented worker can do little unless Christ is formed within, the hope and strength of the life. {RH, August 19, 1902 par. 4}
iiia) The Disposal of Sin
Some men’s sins are open beforehand, confessed in penitence, and forsaken, and they go beforehand to judgment. Pardon is written over against the names of these men. But other men’s sins follow after and are not put away by repentance and confession, and these sins will stand registered against them in the books of heaven. Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand. Christ is the pattern to be copied in the life. When a man gives evidence that he is sound in principle, when he is of good repute among those where he is best known, when his character is one whose influence will be Christlike, he should be admitted to fellowship and confidence without hesitancy. But he whose works show him to be unstable, who says one thing and does the very opposite, is careless of his words and influence, bringing out of his heart the evil things lurking there, such a one will profane both men and God. He will say anything that comes into his mind, whether he knows it to be falsehood or truth. There is a mixture of good and bad in his character, and he speaks just as he feels without studying the influence his words must have upon those who believe him to be a true minister of the gospel. They have heard him speak as Christ’s ambassador, and therefore they will either regard his sins lightly or their confidence in him as a devoted servant of Christ will be destroyed. The minister of Christ should be circumspect; he should understand human nature. ( Ms 1a, 1890, p 41)
When souls are converted, their salvation is not yet accomplished. They then have the race to run; the arduous struggle is before them to do, what? “To fight the good fight of faith,” to press forward to the mark for the prize of the high calling which is in Christ Jesus. [1 Timothy 6:12; Philippians 3:14.] There is no release in this warfare; the battle is life-long, and must be carried forward with determined energy proportionate to the value of the object you are in pursuit of, which is eternal life. Immense interests are here involved. We are made partakers of Christ’s self-sacrifice here in this life, and then we are assured that we shall be partakers of all its benefits in the future, immortal life, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end. “Lay hold on eternal life.” [1 Timothy 6:12.] Come to Jesus in faith. Ask, and ye shall receive. The forgiveness of sins is promised to him who repents, justification to him who believes, and the crown of life to him who is faithful unto death. The arms of Jesus are open to receive you now just now. Will you come to Him? Jesus presents to you the gift of eternal life. Will you receive it? Faith and works go together, and each is dead if alone. Not that works will save you, they are the fruit of faith. But living faith will reveal itself in action. (Letter 33 1893, par 16)
