o19. Stewardship – Wise Investment;

o20. Spirituality –Practical Christianity;

o21. Sanctuary  – True Church;

Christ’s final command

oFinal words are extremely important. Parting words are usually significant. Picture a family gathered around a hospital bed eagerly trying to catch every word of a dying loved one. Last words make a difference.

oChrist’s last words were some of the most significant He ever uttered. His final command to His disciples was, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:19, 20, NKJV).*

Christ commissioned His disciples to instruct people in the principles of the Christian life. When they accepted the claims of His love and became disciples, the sign of their allegiance to a new life was baptism

Lesson: L19- A Financial Secret

The Bible’s eternal financial principles

oThere is one thing certain about our economy—it is uncertain. Remember the Global Financial Crisis in 2008-9 in spite  of periods when “consumer confidence” is high. The United State government may presents glowing reports of a reduced national debt. Interest rates being low, and unemployment is down and financial loans are readily available. The flip side of the coin is U.S. trade deficit is enormous. The stock market is extremely volatile, and the world economy is shaky. Greece in the European Union is now  reported to be unable to repay its loans.  Norman Cousins, editor of the Saturday Review, made a very perceptive statement 40 years ago. It was true then, but it is even truer now. “We are so busy extending ourselves and increasing the size and ornamentation of our personal kingdom that we have hardly considered that no age in history has had so many loose props under it as our own.” We are so busy buying that we have failed to realize there are some moral screws loose in our society. The foundation is cracking. We might be just investing our money in the wrong places.

oThe Bible presents eternal financial principles that make sense. It reveals financial secrets that most of the world does not know. It encourages us to reevaluate our priorities—to seek the eternal rather than the earthly. God’s Word leads us to make investments that will pay off in the long run.

Extra -  Stewardship (caretaker) for God

oThere are four main areas of good stewardship for God in response to the trust He’s put in us:

oOur Finance ( lesson today)

oOur Talents- the personality and skills that make us who we are.

oOurselves- as a living sacrifice to God. (L15)

oOur world- the environment we enjoy and utilise to live.

Keys to Success

oToo much “temporal success” (reaching the goals one set) in acquiring fame  fortune, or power can kill.

o“True success” is succeeding in reaching the goal for which we were created.

oIt’s not our goals that count, but God’s goals for us. God have a plan for our lives, with an overarching purpose.

o“For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you (i.e. to give you success) and not to harm you, plans to give you a future.” (Jer 29:11)

oThe five rules in the work to glorify God are:

o1. Determine your capabilities.

o2. Put your trust in God’s promise to guide.

o3. Do your best in the work that lies nearest.

o4. Commit your ways to God.

o5. Watch God’s providential workings.

“The rules that ensure safe guidance in the choices of an occupation.” ( Ed 267 )

o1.The talents we have are God's, not ours. -We are stewards of ‘His goods’ for His purposes. (Matt25:14 Parable of the Talents)

o2. “Many do not become what they might, because they do not put forth the power that is in them. They do not, as they might, lay hold on divine strength. (the only power we have in us is the power of faith.-1Tim 6:12a)  Many are diverted from the line in which they might reach the truest success.”

o3. “We need to follow more closely God’s plan of life. To do our best in the work that lies nearest…” “The Lord does not judge us (reward us with success) according to the elevation (height) of our various spheres (positions), but according to the faithfulness with which we fill them.” (6T 439:4)

o4. In Isa 55: 8 God says, “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways”. If God’s ways are higher than ours, we must commit our ways to God  to harmonize our ways with His.

oThe promise is: Ps 37: 4-5 “Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of your heart.” (In this case, success in finding your place of labor.) “Commit your way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it (the desire of your heart) to pass.”

o5. We must watch for opening and closing opportunities. Try to get a feel for the movings of the Holy Spirit. Study circumstances, and learn to see God at work in your life.

The True Success in Christ

oKnowing how to succeed will do us little good if we don’t know:

oWho we are, Why we were created, and What we were created to do.

oEach person is created to do a special work in an especially designated place. And, it is all for the purpose of bringing praise, and glory to God.

o6T 307:1”Christ was constantly confronted with apparent failure. He seemed to do little of the work which He longed to do in uplifting and saving.”

oConsider Christ hanging on the cross: There the Devil tempted Him with the idea that He was wasting His sacrifice. Few seemed to care at that moment. No one came to thank Him for eternal life. It looked, for all intents and purposes like His efforts were about to be swallowed up by death.

oThe disciples cried, “We trusted that it had been He which should have redeemed Israel", but now, He’s dead. HE FAILED. (Luke 24: 21)

oIf we have faith, we may be very optimistic about life, for we know that our apparent defeats are really disguised victories.  But, unbelief cannot possibly know what it is seeing.

The Ten True Keys to Success

oThere are 3 primary keys & 7 secondary keys to Success.

oTHREE PRIMARY KEYS TO TRUE SUCCESS

o1. GOD MUST BE WITH US "He made full provision for the

prosecution of the work, and took upon Himself the responsibility for its success. So long as they obeyed His word and worked in connection with Him (6T24), THEY COULD NOT FAIL… Labor in faith and confidence, for the time will never come when He will forsake you." (DA 822:1, Jos1:1-9)

o2. PRAYER "Many, even in their seasons of devotion, fail of receiving the blessing of real communion with God. They are in too great haste. With hurried steps they press through the circle of Christ's loving presence, pausing perhaps a moment within the sacred precincts, but not waiting for counsel. They have no time to remain with the divine Teacher. With their burdens they return to their work. These workers can never attain the highest success until they learn the secret of strength. They must give themselves time to think, to pray, to wait upon God.“ (Ed 260:3-4 )

o3. OBEDIENCE "Obedience to every word of God is another condition of success. Victories are not gained by ceremonies or display, but by simple obedience to the highest General the Lord God of heaven. He who trusts in this Leader will NEVER know defeat. Defeat comes in depending on human methods, human inventions, and placing the divine secondary."(6T 140)

SEVEN SECONDARY KEYS (applicable to any endeavour)

o1. SET A GOAL ED 262:1 "Success in any line demands a definite aim. He who would achieve true success in life must (imperative) keep steadily in view the aim worthy of his endeavor."

o2. FAITHFULNESS (defined as “being conscientious) 5T 543:1 "It is the conscientious attention to what the world calls little things that makes the great beauty and success of life. Little deeds of charity, little words of kindness, little acts of self-denial, a wise improvement of little opportunities, a diligent cultivation of little talents, make men great in God's sight. If those little things be faithfully attended to, if these graces be in you, and abound, they will make you perfect in every good work. "

o3. We must study. Or give it careful thought (2 Tim 2:15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.)

o4. We must work hard (5T 202:2 "Success has ever been granted proportionate to the labor performed.")

o5. Enthusiasm (PK 263:1 "When God opens the way for the accomplishment of a certain work, and gives assurance of success, the chosen instrumentality must do all in his power to bring about the promised results. In proportion to the enthusiasm and perseverance with which the work is carried forward will be the success given. God can work miracles for His people only as they act their part with untiring energy."

o6. Strength, Courage, Boldness (EV 297:4 "We are living in a perilous time, and we need that grace that will make us valiant in fight, turning to flight the armies of aliens. Dear brother, you need more faith, more boldness, and decision in your labors. You need more push, less timidity… Our warfare is aggressive. Your efforts are too tame; you need more force in your labor."

o7. Attitude determines our Altitude (MH 417 "He orders that which His providence sees best". TRIALS AND OBSTICALS ARE HIS CHOSEN METHOD OF DISCIPLINE, AND HIS APPOINTED CONDITION OF SUCCESS)

Don't aim at Success, Happiness, or Salvation

oVictor Frankl, famous psychiatrist, in “Man’s search for meaning” page 16:2:“It is both strange and remarkable to me that among some dozens of books I have authored precisely this one, which I had intended to be published anonymously so that it could never build up

any reputation on the part of the author, did become a success.”

o"Don't aim at success (greatness) -- the more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue (result from) and it only does so as the unintended side-effect of one's personal dedication to a cause greater than oneself or as the by-product of one's surrender to a person other than oneself."

oSuccess and greatness, like happiness cannot be pursued.

oThey must result from some other cause. Salvation is much that way also: In Matt 16:15 (whoever is focused on his own salvation, shall lose it. Whosoever will sacrifice himself to save others, will find it {salvation}).

oHappiness:

o2T 136 "Seek not for happiness, for it is not to be found by seeking for it. Go about your duty."

oCS 24 "Seeking the good of others is the way in which true happiness can be found."

o4T 345:3 "True happiness will be the result of every self-denial, every crucifixion of self."

o3T 251:0 "In order to be happy ourselves, we must live to make others happy."

True example, Jesus Christ

oIf Jesus had wanted to be famous or great (as men measure greatness), what might He have done?

oAns: He would have done whatever men are doing today to achieve greatness, only it would be done a million times better and more…

o- Jesus would have overthrown the Roman Empire

o- He would heal all His people

o- Enriched everybody

o- Overwhelmed the world with His wisdom

o- Dazzled the senses with His great powers, by performing miracles after miracles for the world to see…

oBut what instead did Jesus focus on?

oAns: Glorifying His Father and Saving our souls through sacrifice, not display.

Is Jesus famous today? (Phil 2:5-11)

oApparent Biblical Failure:

o- Did Jesus look very successful hanging on the Cross? It did not look success! The disciples also think and it did not look like success at all.

o- Jonah was told to preach destruction, but it did not happen. He was a prophet but what he prophecied did not happen. He wanted the destruction to happen but it did not happen. He looked like a failure. But he was the most successful because 120K people converted.

o- What about John on Isle of Patmos? John the Baptist in the dungeon, Samson with his eyes gouged out? Temporal reality and eternal reality. You’ve given your heart to Christ, and you are doing all you can. That’s success in God’s sight. (DA.490)

oVol. 6 307.par 400. Christ was constantly confronted with apparent failure…

The True Successes

oDA. 692. Par.2. The life of his trusting disciples will not seem like a series of success. The widow’s 2 mites… The thief on the Cross?

o2 Cor 12:7 Paul “less I be exhorted above measure”…

oLuke 2:34 Jesus came to the fall of Israel. DA. 57 “we must fall and be broken, before…” In spiritual world, we must go down before we go up. In our world, we go up before we fall.

oPhil 2:5 “Let this mind be in you…” 9… therefore…God also highly exhalted.. Honor is proportionate with humility.

oWhat kind of success do you want? Is it money, power, ? You will only be as successful, as you are willing to be humble.

oLuke 14:33 whosoever does not give up everything…

oMatt 14:26 If you gain the whole world but loose your soul,…

o2 Cor 2:14 Now thanks be unto God… triumph always…

oCOL.363 …cooperate with One who knows no failure…

Christ is our Success

o"Behold in the cross of Christ the only sure guarantee for individual excellence and success.“(6BC 1112:7)

o"He (Paul) clung to the cross of Christ as his only guarantee of success.“ (AA 507:1 )

oJesus defeated

o -the Devil.

o -the World.

o -and sin, (at the cross).

oNow He uses all, the Devil, the World and even Sin (the sin of others) to work for our good.

oNext Lesson: L20- Growing in Christ

LessonL20- Growing in Christ

Growing in Jesus

oThe more we know Jesus, the more we long to be like Him. As we understand Jesus’ kindness, His tender compassion, His gracious forgiveness, and His steadfast loyalty to the Father’s will, our own hearts are drawn to the one we most admire.

oThe Christian life involves both coming to Jesus and growing in Jesus. It involves forgiveness and restoration. Jesus longs to forgive our sins, removing the guilt and condemnation of the past.

oHis acceptance, forgiveness, and love help us to grow in Him. He desires to rebuild our lives.

oIn this lesson we will learn God’s way of making us whole again.

Extra- Spirituality –Practical Christianity

oEnoch pleased God and did not see death. (Heb11:5)

oWe need spiritual tools to continue growing in the midst of Satan’s plan to keep us in bondage to sin and eternal death.

oA new believer is like a little child. Walking is by trying, falling and getting up again and again until we are able to walk at will and then run.

oWalking with Jesus is being willing to let Him lead. (Amo3:3)

oWalking in the spirit is a walk by faith, not by sight. (2Cor3:7)

o Faith is the substance  of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  It is impossible to please God without faith in believing that He is God the Creator. (Heb11:1,6)

oFaith is  believing in the following:-

o-1. What God has done. ( He healed, forgave, raised the dead, suffered..)

o-2. What God can do. ( He paid for our sins. He can give you victories each day. He is willing to represent us in the  end-time judgement.) 1 John 5:12, 13 gives us this tremendous assurance when we surrender our lives to Jesus each day. “He that hath the Son hath life; … believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life…”

o-3. What God has promised. ( He will come again, He is preparing a place in Heaven for us.)

oThere is a serious warning in Matthew 7:21. Jesus warned Not every one that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.

oThe Book of Revelation  warned of the great confusion in Christianity over Bible truth because of the false teachings of Babylon. Jesus invites us to "Come out of her, my people…lest you receive of her plagues...” (Rev 18:4) When we have decided to surrender fully to Jesus we should ask for baptism and keep His Commandments.

Seven Keys to Walking by Faith

1.Look to Jesus & Pray

2.Personal Bible Study

3.Family Worship

4.Sabbath

5.Tithe & Offerings

6.Church Fellowship

7.Spiritual Gifts

o1. Take time every day to meditate on the life of Jesus. Talk to Jesus throughout the day as He reminds you of His love and presence and power. ( L 1)

o2. God’s word helps us see where we are going. It helps us understand what is true and what is false. It helps us avoid making huge mistakes. Each day we need a regular time, place and plan to open God’s word and hear His voice speaking to us through the pages of the Bible.   (L 5, 6)

o3. Family worship can be one of the best parts of the day in your home. When carried out with the attitude and love of Jesus it will bond the members of your family with Jesus and each other.

o4. The seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God. (Exodus 20:10) Jesus gives us an invitation every Friday at sunset to take a 24 hours break from our work to rest in His works. The Sabbath reminds us that He created the world and He can take care of us and all our needs. ‘Let us labour therefore to enter into that (everlasting) rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.’ (Heb 4:11) (L 12,13)

o5. Returning tithe and giving cheerful offerings is a God-given way to guard our hearts from selfishness and greediness. (L 19)

o6. The church around the world is made up of a variety of people from all races, languages, people groups. There are various gifts and personalities Jesus brings together to help us learn to get along with everyone with the grace He gives us. (L 18)

oIt is very important for us to get together with other believers on Sabbath and during the week to encourage each other, especially as we get closer to the end of time and the second coming of Jesus. (Heb10:25)

o7. When we repent, unite with the church and are baptized God transforms the natural talents He gave us into spiritual gifts. As we use our spiritual gifts God gives us additional gifts as they are needed to share Jesus with others.

The Bible gives us tests so we can discover the difference between true and false prophets. Besides being one of the equipping gifts, The gift of prophecy is also one of the identifying marks of the remnant church. Ellen White had the gift of prophecy. Read her books. ( L 21,22

Lesson: L21- God’s Church Identified

God’s Church Identified

oAccording to a recent handbook of American churches, there are more than 250 major religious groups in the United States. In addition, there are hundreds of smaller independent     churches,

osects, and religious groups. Each one professes to represent God. Each one claims to be teaching truth. At the same time, each group is different from the others. Teachings of one church or group often vary significantly from another. Obviously all these churches with their conflicting teachings cannot be right.

oThe average person is confused by this bewildering array of churches. Some people have even concluded that the discovery of truth is extremely personal. They argue that truth is a matter of opinion. “You have your truth and I have mine,” they say. “You look at it your way and I will look at it mine.”

oThis leads us to some important questions.

oIs finding truth a matter of chance? Does God have a true church today? Does it make any difference which church I attend? If God has a true church, how can I find it?

This lesson will help you answer these important questions directly from the Bible itself. Throughout the history of the world God has always had a people who followed Him. This group of loyal and committed followers have composed His church in every age

L23- The Mystery of Spiritual Babylon Revealed

Section-V Overview:

oS-V. Restoration of God’s Children:

o23. Revelation – Spiritual Babylon;

o24. Spiritual Gift  – Holy Spirit;

o25. Restoration – Champion Movement;

o26. Allegiance – Compulsory Counterfeit Mark;

o27. Last Stand – America’s Apostasy;

o28. Victory – Final Destruction of Sin;

o29. Millennium – New Beginning;

o30. Home –  New Heavens & New Earth.

Restoration is promised. God loves you, but you have to make the choice

oTurn aside from all teachings  not in harmony with the Bible. Be strengthened with the truth on false worship in Spiritual Babylon.

oAsk for the ‘power of the Holy Spirit’ to lead you into the life Jesus desire for you.

oJesus has raised up a ‘ Champion movement in the last days’ of earth’s history to lead men and women to Christ to prepare them for His coming and to lead them to obedience to His law.

oAllegiance to God’s law so as to resist the ‘Compulsory Counterfeit Mark’

oTo heed  God’s truth that the ‘Last Stand is  America in Apostasy’ when All the world wondered after the beast and to desist unto death.

oDesire to be on the winning side and be victorious in earth’s last war with ‘Final Destruction of Sin’. Surrender fully to Jesus now.

o‘Millennium’ immediately follows the return of Christ. Then all the righteous are in heaven. Satan and his angels are left on earth, and the wicked are dead.

oAfter the millennium, God creates a ‘new heaven and new earth’. He made provision for you to be there. You have a personal invitation from Christ Himself. Will you surrender your life to Him and allow Him to fit you for heaven? You have to make the choice.

Lesson 23 - The Mystery of Spiritual Babylon Revealed

oEvery marriage must rely on trust - and likewise in our union with Christ, we must remain faithful to Him and His Word. Revelation speaks about the true bride of Christ, but there is another woman who is trying to seduce believers away from God's Word. Revelation contains a shocking message about Babylon, the other woman. Babylon is fallen, and Christ's people must escape her charms or perish!

oThe book of Revelation portrays a great conflict between truth and error. It graphically describes two systems of worship in collision. Truth, opposed by error, triumphs. In Revelation’s prophecies, a pure, chaste woman represents the true church (see Revelation 12:1, 2).

oA harlot woman represents the fallen church. The bride of Christ, the true church, radiates the glory of God, revealing His truth to the world. The apostate church, pictured as a harlot, offers her wine of false doctrines, confusing the mind and leading multitudes to destruction.

oIn this lesson we will especially notice the characteristics of this false system of worship so we can keep from being deceived. We will also discover the characteristics of true worship so we can embrace it.

Lesson 24 - Holy Spirit and Unpardonable Sin

oA pastor was approached by a young man who nervously asked, “May I talk with you privately?” The pastor learned that this young man feared he had committed the unpardonable sin. He wondered whether forgiveness was possible. Could he have gone beyond God’s mercy? This young man is not an isolated case. Many people are perplexed regarding this vital subject.

oWhat is the unpardonable sin?

oWill an individual know if and when they commit it?

oWhy is it unforgivable?

oIs there a sin so great that even God Himself cannot forgive it?

oIf the unpardonable sin is the sin against the Holy Spirit, (Matt 12:31) it is extremely important to understand how the Holy Spirit works on our hearts. This lesson will clearly reveal what the unpardonable sin is and how to avoid rejecting the claims of the Holy Spirit upon our lives.

Three reasons for lack of fruit

o1. Unwilling to give up known sins. ( Act 8:19-22)

o2. Grieve the Holy Spirit. (Eph4:30-32)

o3. Quench the Holy Spirit through emotions, feelings and fear. (1The5:19,22; 1Joh4:18 )

oThere are many who believe and profess to claim the Lord's promise; yet receive no benefit. They do not surrender the soul to be guided and controlled by the divine agencies. We cannot use the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is to use us. Through the Spirit God works in His people "to will and to do of His good pleasure." Phil. 2:13. But many want to manage themselves and do not receive the heavenly gift.

o Only to those who wait humbly upon God, who watch for His guidance and grace, is the Spirit given. The power of God awaits their demand and reception. This promised blessing, claimed by faith, brings all other blessings in its train. It is given according to the riches of the grace of Christ, and He is ready to supply every soul according to the capacity to receive. (DA p672)

CERTAINTY OF THE ADVENT MOVEMENT

oCan we really be sure of truth?

oDoes God have a true church on earth today?

oIs it possible to know which church is His true church?

oThe book of Revelation is designed to give us certainty. It is designed to provide definite, concrete answers to these questions.

oRevelation’s chapter 10 is one of the most thrilling chapters in all of the Bible. It vividly and accurately describes the miraculous rise of God’s last-day church.

oIt reveals that God’s last-day movement is a direct fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

oIt distinguishes God’s true church from all counterfeit movements by clearly showing just how God’s church would come into existence.

The seven Churches in Rev. 2-3

oThe seven Churches represents seven Christian eras:

o1. Ephesus, the era of purity; 34-100 A.D.

o2  Smyrna, the era of persecution; 100-325 A.D.

o3. Pergamos, the era of compromise; 325-538 A.D.

o4. Thyatira, the era of apostasy; 538-1500 A.D.

o5. Sardis, the era of reformation; 1500-1750 A.D.

o6. Philadelphia, the era of revival; 1750-1844 A.D.

o7. Laodicea, the era of vindication; the investigative pre-advent judgment 1844 A.D. to Christ return.

THE SEVENTH CHURCH WHICH PROCLAIMS THE ETERNAL GOSPEL

oLaodicea carries the characteristics of the previous six churches:

oThis church will:

o1. be purified,

o2. be persecuted,

o3. remove compromises and compromisers clinging on the worldliness,

o4. repent from apostasies and be cleanse from rebels,

oThe heart of God is filled with love for this planet. A loving God sent His Son to redeem us. A loving, compassionate God reaches out to us in daily concern. A loving God is coming again for us. He will put an end to sickness, disease, sorrow, hunger, pain, and death.

oGod’s love is revealed in gentle pleading to our heart. It is also revealed in solemn warnings.

oThe most solemn warning ever given to humanity is found in Revelation 13. A crucial test is coming. The conflict will revolve around true and false worship. The central issue is the law of God.

oThe book of Revelation reveals the plans of God and unmasks the delusions of the enemy. Every person has a choice. Our eternal destiny hinges upon the choice we make. Today’s lesson will focus upon the final issue in the great controversy between good and evil.

Lesson 27 - The United States in Prophecy

oThroughout the centuries the Bible has revealed the rise and fall of nations with amazing accuracy. Their destinies were predicted in advance, but the Bible is not primarily a history book! Not every world power is mentioned.

oNations are brought into the biblical picture, not as independent political powers, but in the light of their role in God’s overall plan. The Bible reveals the role of nations in the longstanding controversy between Christ and Satan. In the last days of earth’s history the final conflict will center upon the question of loyalty to God as manifested by obedience to His law.

oWorking through both religious and state powers, Satan will attempt to coerce God’s people—with economic boycotts, fines, threats of imprisonment and death—to ignore God’s law by accepting a substitute Sabbath.

oWill the United States play a significant role in this final conflict? Will America continue to champion principles of religious liberty and freedom of choice, or will it one day repudiate its heritage, unite with the beast, and become a persecuting power? What is America’s destiny?

In this fascinating lesson we will discover the answers to these questions

oIn 1945 William Ripley of Believe It or Not fame stood amid the ruins of Hiroshima, Japan. From that city devastated by the atom bomb, Ripley announced to his radio audience, “I am standing on the spot where the end of the world began.”

oNumerous wars during this century have gripped world leaders with the possibility that the end is near. Among today’s prophets of doom are legislators, educators, sociologists, scientists, and environmentalists.

oThousands are stunned with bewilderment regarding the future. They wander in a maze of confusion. God reveals through prophecy an outline of coming events for the informed Christian. According to Bible prophecy the crisis at the close is not merely a military struggle. It is the last battle in the long-standing conflict between Christ and Satan.

oThe seven last plagues and the Battle of Armageddon focus on the end of human history and the coming of Christ. It is with this background that we enter into this Bible lesson.

Lesson: L29- Revelation Predicts 1,000-Year World Blackout

oOne of the most fascinating of all Bible subjects is “1,000-Year World Blackout Predicted,” or the millennium. The word “millennium” is simply Latin for 1,000 years. There are many different ideas taught concerning the future of our world. Some Christians believe that the second coming of Christ will initiate a Golden Age for humankind on earth—a time during which everyone will be converted and peace will prevail. Others believe that the 1,000-year period will be a time of distress and hardship, of conflict and chaos.

oA third view is that the millennium immediately follows the return of Christ. A time when all the righteous are in heaven. Satan and his angels are left on earth, and the wicked are dead. At the end of this 1,000 years, God creates a new heaven and new earth.

oWith this subject, as with all others, we will discover what the Bible really teaches. In this lesson we will discover the answers to the following questions: 1. What events occur at the return of Jesus? 2. What events occur during the 1,000 years? 3. What events occur at the end of the 1,000 years?

Lesson 30 - Revelation’s Glorious Climax

oGod’s plans for us are more amazing than we can possibly imagine. His ultimate goal for this planet in rebellion is beyond our comprehension.

oHis dream for us is far beyond our wildest imagination. Whatever you imagine heaven to be like, it is more magnificent, more beautiful, more glorious.

oIn this lesson we will discover the destiny of the redeemed in the earth made new. In 2 Peter 3:13 we read, “We, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells” (NKJV).* Jesus said, “The meek . . . shall inherit the earth” (Matthew 5:5, NKJV).

oWhen the earth came forth from the hand of the Creator it was beautiful beyond description. God will eventually destroy sin and sinners and restore earth to its Edenic splendor.

oIn His Word God has given us a preview of the glories of the new earth as an appetizer to create within us the desire to be there, but He has not answered every question we might have on the subject. We do well to remember Paul’s words: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him” (1 Corinthians 2:9, NKJV).

Although we cannot understand everything about heaven, we can find answers to some of our most fundamental questions directly from the Bible

oWe will build houses, and inhabit them; plant vineyard, and eat the fruit of them.

oWe will travel with Him as exhibits of His love and grace throughout the universe.

oIn fellowship with Bible greats, we will feel love, concern, understanding, and acceptance in heaven’s caring community.

oWe shall “see His face” and rejoice in His love forever.
